Dr. Rush Holt is our newest addition to Greenbrier Veterinary Hospital Team. He grew up on a small farm in Morgantown, WV. His mother, Sarah Beamer, is a familiar face at the sheep shearing competition at the state fair and taught him to shear at a young age. He graduated from Morgantown High School and was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Ankara, Turkey before attending West Virginia University for his undergraduate and masters degrees. There, he studied parasite immunology and the barber pole worm in sheep and goats. He went on to study veterinary medicine at Virginia – Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech and graduated in 2018. Dr. Holt’s professional interests include surgery and internal medicine. Dr. Holt enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Julia and their son James. Dr. Holt enjoys hiking, traveling, and fly fishing whenever time allows.
